Received Work Permit Renewal, but not ask for sending passport

Hi all,

I have just received renewal for my work permit, however they didn't ask me to send my passport for worker visa. Is it normal?
I remember i select "Worker" when submitting the application online.

I called CIC, they send me a general link to support page which is about submitting another application, and as "Worker" visa.
How could i request for worker visa? Anyone has experience on same situation.

1. Yes 2 separate action. Once you have a new work permit, then you can apply for a new TRV. See: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/apply-new-temporary-resident-visa-within-canada.html
