Hi @legalfalcon, I finally received my PR approval email after 19 months today. That said, although I am in canada at the moment, I am travelling to the US in 1 week and will be back by 23rd April. In the email I have received, They have asked to respond with few personal information as well as let them know if I am within canada. I believe once I respond and a copr is issued, my TRV will become invalid. Do I just wait till I am back to respond or email them saying to pause my application till 23rd?

Your advice in this situation will be extremely helpful. Thank you

I would suggest that you respond. Even if you receive a COPR, while you are in the US, you can still cross the border in a private vehicle.

You can also wait until April 23, i.e when you are back, which will avoid all unnecessary hassles of your TRV being revoked while you are not in Canada.

@legalfalcon Thank you so much for your advice.

For others in similar situation, I received my PR approval email on 6th April. I flew to US on 12th April and came back to Canada on 21st April using my TRV. I replied back to the approval email on 21st itself and got the portal credentials on 22nd. So if you have a short trip planned and you get the approval email, its wise to wait till u come back and respond to it
