Posting on behalf of my brother.

I recently received an Ontario Provincial/Territorial Interest Letter, and I would like to gather more information regarding the application process and requirements.

As I currently reside in Edmonton, Alberta, I am curious to know if I would have to relocate to Ontario to proceed further with my application process, considering my job is based in Toronto. I am currently on an open PGWP with remote work arrangement with my employer. Additionally, I would appreciate details about the requirements necessary for obtaining the ONIP Provincial/Territorial Interest Letter.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.

Detailed information about the OINP can be found on the provincial website:

https://www.ontario.ca/page/oinp-express-entry-notifications-interest

Yes, at some point you would either need to relocate or show very strong evidence that you will move to Ontario.

Hi @scylla, Thank you for your response. I was looking at the 'intention to reside in Ontario' section of the Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream, It appears if you have a current employment based in Ontario that should suffice? They don't talk about actually relocating or reside in Ontario?

It doesn't actually say that. It provides a list of items that show ties. Generally the assumption is that you have more than one. Which do you satisfy apart from the job? Did you complete your education in Ontario?

Also, the Express Entry - Provincial/Territorial Interest Letter does not indicate the category/stream of OINP he got invited for.

All it says is '
The Government of Ontario is interested in considering you for nomination under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through Express Entry.

If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP, you must visit the website of Ontario after receiving this notification of interest. Note that this notification of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program.

You can find general information about each province or territory's PNP program on the IRCC website. You will also find a link to Ontario's PNP requirements and contact information.
