Received medical request in pregnancy. Pls suggest.

I have received the medical request for my family (I am the primary applicant).In this situation I have following questions:
Is it possible to hold off both my husband's and mine medical exam until after the baby is delivered ?.
> As I believe that the date of the medical examination determines the expiry date of the visa. And in the event that several medicals were done at different times, the earlier date will prevail. This means that my family could find itself in a position where they receive visas that must be used within very short span of time or where they have to re-do the exams because there is not enough time to organize the travel to Canada.

> Also please suggest whether my spouse and I both need to wait for the new medical instructions with updated timelines from visa office.

nothing to worry about this. Pregnancy is not s disease but a state.
go for your medical. Your child can be borne in Canada and baby will receive citizenship straight away.
when you have a chance please don't delay. Delaying any steps with fswp is foolish.
Snd if you wait until the child is born there will be more paper work to be done.
nothing is good news about FSWP especially when you delay yourself.

But , My due date is March 18th (2 months)so my child cann't be borne in Canada , as Airlines will not allow travel in last month.so ,any way i need to do paper work for my baby.

Now issue is if i/my husband go for my medical now then,as medical examination determines the expiry date of the visa, in the event that several medicals were done at different times, the earlier date will prevail.We are loosing these 2 months+ mine recovery time +baby paperwork + 2 months other stuff (around 6 months- 8 months). So we will be left with 4 months effectively which we think is a very small time to find a job in Canada+ arrange a travel with a 8 month old baby .Can we both(husband and me delay the medicals? )

Please share your thoughts on this situation .

is there any deadline on MR that you should provide results within 60 days.

Please check if there is any deadline.
Your hubby can go for medical now.
but for your case dont waste too much time.
no news is good news in FSWP. Always remember.

then you have no choice other than going for it.

Hi Mhim,

There are clear instructions for pregnant clients in the CIC website ( please go through the below link)

4.6.1 Pregnant client

If the client chooses to defer her CXR because of pregnancy:

eMedical-enabled Panel Clinics

CIC is informed electronically by eMedical when a CXR is deferred and the health case is put on hold when a client is pregnant and chooses to defer her CXR;
CXR requisition and instructions are generated by eMedical and provided to the client;
eMedical generates a “Pregnancy deferral letter” with instructions for the client;
All other components of the IME are completed and the IME is put on hold status until the CXR is completed;
The IME will be submitted to CIC along with the CXR results when available.

Paper-based Panel Clinics

The CXR requisition is completed by the panel physician and given to the client;
The IMM 5733 Instructions for Pregnant Client Letter is completed by the panel physician and given to the client;
The client may forward a copy of the IMM 5733 Instructions for Pregnant Client Letter to the visa office as proof that the IME has been started and that the CXR has been deferred because of pregnancy;
The panel physician may complete the IME, except for the CXR; and
The IME is only submitted once the post partum CXR is returned to the panel physician;
See sample of the IMM 5733 Instructions for Pregnant Client − X-Ray Deferred form in Appendix III.

During pregnancy the X-Ray will not be performed usually (which is recommended) , and the panel physician will do all other tests and report this to CIC.
After you give birth to your child they will complete your X Ray and submit it separately to CIC , please inform the panel physicial your situation
they will do the required formalities.Hope all goes smooth for you..Take care !!

There will be a small delay on this but do not worry about that at this stage.
