I have recent received what appears to be a medical request. I submitted a CEC application in Aug 2011 and I was expecting an Acknowledgment of Receipt letter Nov 2011. I received a Medical Request letter and also some stickers with my immigration file number and a change of address form.

Is it common to receive a medical request without an AOR or Initial Assessment? Should I still be expecting the Initial Assessment? What is the order of things to come? Has the application already been "assessed" and that all the requirements like employment conditions/hours and background information been completed and ready to go? I know there's a PPR (passport request) and a RPRF (right of permanent resident fee) still to come. Can I pay the RPRF now and send it to Buffalo along with a cover letter as well as one of the stickers with my immigration file number?

Thank you ahead of time for any information for answers to any of the questions

As our seniors stated in some of the posts, CIC has got a new system in place and the process as such has picked up speed. So I would say that what ever you received is something normal.
