Received Medical req (IMM1017) for Principal applicant, but didn't for spouse

Hello,

I have applied PR under CEC category and I received form IMM1017 for medical test in July, but I haven't received it for my wife. I have emailed CIC, but they are yet to answer.

Therefore my question is:

Can I get upfront medical test done for my wife with me?

OR

Shall I get my medical test done before and wait for CIC to send her form IMM1017?

Please advice.

sometimes when you go for medical the doctor can see the request for spouse also..so try that way by calling them or visiting whichever is convenient

Did your wife do a medical in the last 1 year.. I had similar situation

Yes. She had her medical test done for Canada visitor visa in May 2014. If I may ask, what did you do in your situation? did you get passport request for both at the same time?

k, then you are good. You will not get her MR. NO ppr yet, however ecas has been updated to medical recieved.

My Wife joined me Late Dec 2013 and I got medical Request in Late June 2014 , but My Wife still got MR request even she has done Medicals while joining in canada on visitor visa , which is like close to 7 months , I was also thinking will my wife will get the MR request or not because Medicals are valid for an year i guess,but she eventually got MR request .

I know quite a tricky situation , If I would have been in your place , I would have done her upfront medicals and sending her e-medical receipt or IME # ( as i dont know what happens in upfront medicals) to CIC .

I just received a reply from CIC stating that they already have valid medical records for my wife and therefore, no test is required for her at this time.
