Received Medical and Got visitor permit extension Letter

Hi Friends,

Need your suggestion and idea about this matter.

We applied for my mother visitor permit extension inside Canada. Good news that we received visitor permit extension, but at a same time, we got the medical request.

Do we need to go through medical or not?

We have already received original visitor extension letter.

So I am thinking that why CIC has issued letter or approved application without submission of medical.

If I won't do medical then is there any impact on profile?

I think you should do the medicals. You can call CIC and explain your situation. Hope they will give you accurate answer.
As far as i know, CIC require medical those who wants to stay more than six months.
