Hi,
I received my ITA yesterday (so happy), and I started filling out the rest of the questionnaire.

There are a few things in the form that I wont know the full details of till next week (Exact height etc), so I am holding onto the questionnaire for now.
But I wanted to get started collecting my documents today- Was wondering if someone can share with me the document checklist, so I can get started on that?

Once again, Thanks to everyone on this forum for all their help.

Also, just to be clear. I am asking for Doc Checklist in case it got updated recently? (Heard there were some EE changes in this year's budget)

I'm doing the same thing too... I do not know my exact height!

So far I have the following things, however each persons checklist differs depending on their situation. Here is just a mild outline:

-Degree certificates and transcripts + WES certificate
-Police clearance from Countries you have lived in for more than 6 months (Canada is excluded- They will do their own check and ask you submit fingerprints if needed)
-Letters for any employment you gained points for.
-IELTS certificate
-Passport pages (All pages that have stamps on and the ID page)
- Not sure if they ask for a resume, but I have one prepared anyway

Extras:

Offer letter from current job within Canada
Business cards from each employer
Current work permit
You may need proof of funds depending on what program yo are applying under. If CEC and you already have a job, no need for this.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Just to confirm, do we need to upload these documents? or have to send originals in-mail?

I am guessing most of the stuff will be originals to be sent to Immigration Office in Canada (but then how does the 90 day timeline work)

No, no need to send originals. These documents need to be uploaded in PDF format once you have finished the ITA Questionnaire.

You have 90 days to get everything together and submit.

My aunt is a citizen. Can i just show a copy of her passport?
Also, what would I need for proof of relationship.

Your birth certificate showing your parents name, your mother/father's birth certificate showing their parents, your aunt's birth certificate showing the same parents.

1) Is Birth certificate necessary from CIC or some other document can also suffice for proof of relationship such as marriage certificate with father's name? Apparently, my country didnt have that requirement back then (I just found out...didn't know things were that different in the early 50s)

2) For Employment letter, my employer just provided title and time period (with Salary and HR contact Info). Will that be enough or does there need to be job description as well? My company is pretty big and everything is standardized

"This documentation is required if the applicant indicates that they, or their spouse or common-law partner, have a family member in Canada who is a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen.
A copy of both sides of the family member's Canadian citizenship document, Canadian birth certificate and/or permanent resident card must be provided.
Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided (a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.).
The documents should be up to date as of six months prior to submission.
Proof of the relationship of the applicant or the spouse or common-law partner to the family member must also be provided (e.g., a birth certificate, an official document naming the applicant as a parent, a copy of the inside back cover of the relative’s passport showing the relative’s parents)."

1) other official documents will likely be accepted
2) duties are the most important aspect of the letter. If you can't get it ask a colleague to confirm your duties.

I would suggest going through the sticky posts at the top of this forum and the application checklist page on CIC site. You'll get all your answers faster
