Hi

I have a very specific situation that I could use some help on.

I graduated in December 2014 and started working on a full time job in January 2015. However the work permit I received has an effective date of 7th April 2015. Now while filling up my Express Entry profile I specified January 2015 as start date for my employment and based on that I received points for 2 years work experience. Following that I received an ITA on 4th January 2017. Now I am skeptical on whether I should be accepting the ITA or declining it. Since 3-4 months of my work experience was during the transition period between my graduation and work permit receipt, I am not sure if that work experience can be counted towards my Permanent Residence Application. However since the question on the Express Entry Application does specify whether this experience was after/ before receipt of my work permit, I included it in my express entry application.

I was thinking of attaching an Letter of Explanation essentially explaining the whole scenario or declining the ITA. Your thoughts ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

decline the ITA, there is no 2 ways around it...
they will consider it as misinterpretation, and i have seen cases of rejection already for primarily this reason.

just wait for 1-2 months or whenever you are fully eligible, you will get ITA again and again with that score (atleast thats what i think ha ha )

good luck
