Hello,
So I applied for permanent residency outland from the UK London high commission. While waiting for my Confirmation of Permanent Residency (COPR) i decided to take a six-week trip to Thailand.
One week in, and my partner tells me that they sent me my COPR to my Canadian home address, as requested. However, I do not have it with me here in Thailand.
I intend to return to Canada via Toronto on February 24th without my COPR. I am hoping that they'll let me in as a visitor (i'm British), then, when i get home, I can take my COPR to a border crossing and re-enter, hopefully getting issued my permanent residency card.
Is this possible? Will I have any issues doing this? Would it be possible to get my partner to post my COPR to me in Thailand then I can re-enter with it?
Thanks for your advice!
K
