Received by SYDNEY on May 10th, but still waiting for AOR..

Hi everyone,

I sent my cec app on May 8th and they received it 2 days later. It has been more than 2 months now and I still waiting for the FN. I understand there is a strike going on, but trackitt and our website indicate that many people who applied later than me have already received the FN e-mail.

I checked CIC's online status, it just said "application received"...

Is this normal?

What is FN? Are you talking about AOR?

Yes, it's the AOR I am waiting for.

It means you FN has been generated but you haven't received an Email. Check your mailbox or try emailing them and asking what your FN is.

Sorry for the delay, I've checked the spam box, but nothing came out. It's been more than 9 weeks now. I am thinking of contacting Sydney office once the 10th weeks is passed. Has anyone who's in /has had similar situation regarding missing AOR?

I don't think they missed your AOR...just be patient.
I sent my package May 22 2012 and got my AOR mid Sep 2012. While some people got AOR within 2 months its pretty common for CIC to issue it after 3 months...or even longer.

Given the current on-going strike your 8-9 weeks wait is absolutely normal to me. I bet there are so many others having the same situation and they might even waited longer than you.

I am in similar situation too. My application reached Sydney office on 27th May 2013. I am still waiting for response for my application.

keep calm and be patient ...(moooore ) if my memory is not bad you are reapplying because of the experience time isn't it? if so, they are just matching information and you should be ok, similar situation for someone on my job, his AOR was like 1 month later than others that sent their application at the same time, but he got MR 1 month earlier ;D
