What is IELTS?
IELTS stands for The International English Language Testing System. This test is designed for those people who wish to pursue their study in an English speaking nation, or who wish to get work permits and PR. Moreover, IELTS has two types of test such as Academic and General Training. In which Academic test is for students who want to get higher education abroad. Whereas the General Training test is designed for those who wish to get a work permit and PR in English speaking nation.

What is TOEFL?
TOEFL is explained as the Test of English as a Foreign Language. This testy is found by Education Testing Service, a USA based organization. This test is also designed to get admission in universities and colleges of Canada. Moreover, the TOEFL test has similar modules to IELTS but the structure of both the exams is different. You have to take TOEFL coaching with the goal to study in Canadian universities.
Exam Structure of both Exams
As we mentioned above both the exams have 4 modules that are explained below include-:
Reading-: The reading exam pattern is almost the same for both the test such as you have to attempt 3 sections in both exams. These all the sections require 20 minutes to complete, in this way the reading test is of 1 hour. And you have to attempt a different type of questions such as fillups, true/false, MCQ, and some other type of questions such as paragraph correction.
Listening-: Listening module is different for TOEFL and IELTS both, in IELTS you have to attempt a range of questions such as fillups, mcq, and diagrams which take only 30 mins and they give you 10 minutes extra in order to transfer your answers on the sheet. Whereas the TOEFL test takes 60 minutes to complete.
Writing-: Writing module is totally different for both the exams. IELTS includes two tasks of 150 words and 250 words. Both the task is totally different in which you have to write about an essay and a graph or pie chart which is given to you. On the other hand in TOEFL exam you also have to write two tasks in which you have to write 300-350 word count in the first and in task to you have to write about the first task but in short.
Speaking-: In IELTS speaking you have to speak in front of examiner but in TOEFL to have to speak in mike.
