Reason given for WP Extension application, is it enough?

Hi all! My husband recently applied for extension of his WP and gave the reason below. Is this reason enough to grant him extension?

"My application for Permanent Residence under Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program is still in process. Medical examination was done July 26, 2010 and currently waiting for passports to be requested by the visa office. Please refer to immigration file umber BXXXXXXXXX."

Then he attached copies of the medical request and nomination certificate.

Can he not go to the closest border with the SINP certificate and a letter from his employer to get a new WP?

we were not aware that he can do that! wow, that would've have been quicker.
WP extension was already submitted to Vegreville last October 15. his WP will expire Nov.30, so I guess he will be on implied status. i just hope a pending PR application and provincial nomination is enough to grant him WP extension.

or we will get a PR visa before Nov.30 (wishful thinking, i guess )

It did for me, I received Sask Provincial Nomination at the beginning of June 2010. My permit expired in August 2010 I submitted a TWP extension application in June saying I still needed to get the police certificates and a valid TWP before sending in my PR application (as a copy of a valid work visa is needed for the application). I was on Implied status until the new (2 year) permit arrived at the beginning of September.

Not really, when i sent the application in the wait time was listed at 63 Days for application processing (it actually took about 75, 2 1/2 months) , it's now at 86 days so it going ti be well over 3 months wait.

we might get our PR visa by then...you think we can still refund the CAD150 if that happens?
