Ive been noticing that for almost all applications from 2018 onwards till last month took 30-45 days to clear MEP (Medical passed)

However, this month .. September 2019, Im seeing people clear their MEPs in lightning fast speed, as low as 10 days from AoR. I know this sort of timeline is normal for CEC candidates but its my first time seeing FSW outland candidates files moving so fast !

Is it because of the upcoming Canadian election in October 21st, 2019 ? Have they decided to dastically speed things up ? So does that mean people who've cleared Biometrics in September can expect an answer within 2 months ?

May I please get your attention @legalfalcon ? Would love to know your two cents

No one can predict as to why it's taking them faster than normal to clear everyone medicals since IRCC didn't announce any changes.

What that being said, IRCC used to have the same speed when EE was first introduced up to a year ago when they started to have an overall slow down in their process. Remember that it's not IRCC that analyze the medical exam results , it's usually shared with medical examination unit within IRCC whom are independent from IRCC processing centers and they recommend an action to IRCC for which a program assistant pass and update your GCMS records with it, so it's quite a simple process from IRCC end it's just that they are always busy with old applications that new ones get lost in the middle.

But it's not just medicals right? They're basically clearing the R10 check for everyone when they decide that Medicals are passed along with the Biometrics letter.

It doesn't have to happen all at once but yes that's something that IRCC have been doing for a while now

So that's what OP is talking about.
What has changed that they have sped up this process? And what changes as a consequence of this?

We know they're doing R10 as well, since we've heard of people getting refusals due to incompleteness in the same timeframe.

Personally I don't think it changes much in terms of processing speed. There will still be the same number of visa officers and the same caseload. It remains to be seen since August/September seem to be the first wave of fast MEP & BIL.
