Reason for Non accompanying family members

I'm applying as a principal applicant and i have filled out all the info about my family members. My family are not accompanying me to Canada right away. I have indicated that and It asks WHY they are not accompanying me.

What are good or acceptable reasons? Does the reason affect the evaluation?

I guess, if your children are in school, they need to continue their study and your wife has to stay to take care of them. A simple explanation towards the reason is enough. CIC is not bothered to know in detail. The application evaluation will not be affected.

You are making a big mistake as you might change you mind to have ur family with you after arrival.
You will love it here with ur family around.
The family can join at any time.Be wise

Wilson has given common reason but it is strong to convience officer
Common is because every family person has this common situation!!

But as said by other forum mate
You should include them in your file and take them with you, it's nice place n they will enjoy

Even though u may select now not to accompany with you but they will ask you to accompany them with you. They will ask POF also considering your family members e.g for 4 members u need to show CA$22K.

Not sure why you are opening up 6/7 year old thread but by family members not accompanying I think you will find means your spouse or your dependants, children.

You could not include your father, mother and sister as family members on your PR application so they could never accompany you with that application .
