i am a doctor working in India in Government sector since feb 1999. i have applied for immigration under Simplied Application Process in June 2007. i am awaiting the processing of my case.
can i meanwhile apply under fast track (NOC code 3112).
do i need to withdraw my earlier application ( i had used the services of a Consultant) or do i need to inform the CIC that i have applied earlier.
also, if at any stage after applying under fast track, i feel like withdrawing my fast track application, will i get a full refund.
can anyone please help me regarding this

in any case if you adjourn your application after getting the first AOR from CIO office you cann't refund your payment any more. as you mentioned earlier that your submiital has more than two years so its seem to me that you are at the time to change your staus.

You can have 2 applications together and CHC will ask you when any one of them comes at a stage of processing.

even i ve applied in 2006. i ve applied again under fast track. so u can definitely apply again. but u have to mention that u ve applied before also ur previous file no.
u can withdraw ur application before the processing starts. i think u can withdraw ur previous application after u apply again as ur previous application is not being processed yet. i don know aba fast track applications as they r processed fast.
ur case is similar to mine. im plannin to withdraw my prev application once my new application is processed.

im plannin to withdraw my prev application once my new application is processed.
Did you get a letter from CHC ND asking you to confirm whether you are really keen on going ahead or not? MANY applicants in the old queue got such a letter and also stated that NO REFUND will be given at a later date.

I am also in the same situation.
Yes, shareit you are right. If he already got a letter to confirm going on ahead with his previous application ( because they just limmit applicant to 60 days time farme) then he will not get refund of his previous application at all.

dont withdraw, just reapply again under new rules.
but if your old application (2007 case) updation letter has arrived then u will not get refund for that.
if that application is still not begun processing i.e. you are still waiting and you feel that from the visa office that you have applied, the processing time will be too slow, that is, it will take over an year before you receive your updation letter then you better reapply under new rules(if you qualify) as you may get visa within a year this way. and you will be able to ask for refund of your old case once visa stamping stage comes for your new application.

Hi doc28,

You will not get REFUND becuase you said Yes to the mentioned letter. Unfortunatly they have obviously written in this letter if you don't withdraw at 60 days time farme, then they will not send any refund order at later stage even when your file processing has not begun.

hi vahid
may b u r right. im not sure. but ill try for refund after i get visa stamped in fast track process. i ve talked to immi consultant. he also told me the same. i don know for sure. its better to get visa even if i don get the money back. n there's no harm in trying to get it back.

Yes, you have to weigh both the options. I have atleast 2.5 years remaining for my old file's processing to start. As opposed to that, I expect my new file to get processed in about 8 months and land in Canada in about a year. The lost 50k INR for me will be recovered within max 2 months :)

AFAIK,
NO REFUND, period.

You may have more than one Application.
