Hi,

I was initially admitted to a university in Montreal for Winter 2019 session.
However, I decided to request for deferral to the next session and I was deferred to Summer 2019 session, which starts in May.
Thus, I applied for CAQ in late September and got a favourable response in early November.
However, next week I received a message from the university that due to unexpected circumstances they do not accept new students for the Summer 2019 session and so I was deferred to Fall session the same year.
So, I called Quebec Immigration office and explained them about this situation and they told me that I have to make apply for a new CAQ.
But I ran into a problem in the application form that when I will filled the start date of my previous CAQ for studies, it showed "The commencement date of your most recent CAQ must precede the current date."

Should I actually re-apply for a new CAQ?
If so, does the above error message indicates that I must wait until the commencement date of my previous CAQ to apply for the new one? Because if so, I fear that I might wouldn't have enough time to apply for the Study Permit and the TRV when I consider the time it took for Quebec Immigration to process my previous CAQ application.

Thanks in advance.
