Really I should have a PHD in Math to understand FOSS

I requested FOSS and I was think this will help me to understand my Application which now pending and waiting for someone for one year to look at it and to make a disscion, I dont understand why they write FOSS like that, really I have to be genius or Magic man to understand what's going on.

If any one guys can help me in that how to undsetand that or thers's a way to do that.
