Hi,

I am not sure if anyone has come across this issue before? I was assisting my sister for TRV application and there is a family information. My sister has two elder sisters and both of their date of births are in same year but they are real sisters only problem is one has put wrong date of birth in school which she still carries on her passport only two months difference from the eldest one. Now i am wondering if i put the exact dates in the family information form, is there any chances visa officer would ask about it? one has 02/74 and other has 04/74 date of birth which technically not possible. i am worried about it coz we cannot do anything about their date of births. Now shud i just put as it is or put as step sister or just sister in the form?

one more question is that how do we book travel itinerary?

thanks

What are their dates of births in the hospital records and their birth certificates?

Also, do their birth certificates/hospital records/school certificates state identical set of parents

Hi Bryanna,

They don't have birth certificates as they were born at home, in old times no one really bothered about registering birth in India. But they both have valid passports and have same parents. its just that one has put wrong date of birth in the school which can't corrected on legal documents now as it would be considered as fraud. I am just worried if i have to mention one as step sister in the form? its so confusing for me as well, and can't help them to rectify it unfortunately.

It has been mandatory to register every birth within 21 days after a baby is born since 1969.

The school authorities would have asked for some proof of birth to determine their ages before accepting your sisters in school. Do you have those documents?

It would be misrepresentation to put one of the sisters as a step-sister, especially when they have the same parents.

It's an unusual situation. Do you have any other evidence that could confirm their exact birth dates? For example, if your mom went for medical check-ups to a hospital during these pregnancies? Or photographs for their religious naming ceremonies, or maybe for their first birthdays.... and these photographs have the date stamps?

Do include any of these evidence in their TRV applications with an explanation + you'll need to maintain the same dates as stated in their passports

It maybe the case but if you go to rural Areas some ppl still don’t register it.”

That time they did not ask anything just verbally told them”

Even if we prove their real dob but still their main identity document say something else and that wud raise more questions”

Thats the issue here, as passport is supreme evidence hence there is no other document to show to prove dob, as in old times if you don’t have any document to prove your dob u can just give affidavit to apply for passport. This information is just for 3rd sisters trv application in family form other 2 sisters are not applying for visa. Its funny how one mistake can create big problem.
