Hi everyone!
I am writing it because I am so disappointing and in such a deep pain and depression after i came to Canada.
I went to school and got education, spent a lot of money and effort, I was working so hard and had such a dream in my head that I can be useful and have a respectful and good peaceful life.
Everything what Canada gave me is low paid jobs in sales. I was applying for 2.5 years after my graduation....the only one option for me is customer service! Everywhere in job postings questions about "are you a citizen or not", and if you are not they don't even look at your application.
They embarrass me with non-stoping questions about my accent! I don't feel comfortable when the first question they ask is where is my accent from.
My employer verbally abusing me because i am not from here!
My wage lower than a regular Canadian wage. I already forgot about promotion or any hope.
Everything they want is just to find a working horse for them and treat it like a garbage!
IT IS DISGUSTING!
People with masters degree working as cleaners!
THAT IS NOT FAIR!
Canadians are not friendly! Every time I am telling I am from Europe and then they stop communicating with me. they hear my accent and don't hear my personality!
I know I spent all my money to be here and I had a big hope for it!
But there's no way to have a respectful life here. I am people's carpet and everybody can do whatever they want! If I open my mouth they shut it!
I am writing it for people who have similar experience to let them know that you are amazing and this country is being ridiculously racist and that you are not alone in you problem!
do not let them exploit you! you all are great, smart, exotic, and fantastic and one day you will get what you want! I believe in you and I send you my love and support in everything you do!
do not let anyone underestimate you and put you down and do not let them think that they better than you! You all deserve great jobs and perfect life!
