Hello Everyone!
I just received the letter of acceptance from the university I will be studying, starting in September of this year. Now I am about to apply for a Canadian study VISA, however I have a doubt.

My passport is valid until 10/2017. I will be studying for 2 years, so if I have a valid passport they will issue with the expiration date around 10/2018. However, since my passport didn't go until 10/2018, they will probably issue the VISA expiration date until 10/2017, like they did with my Canadian Visitor VISA previously issued.

Is it better take a new passport while I am here in my home country or issue the VISA with the old passport?

Thanks. :)

Get a new passport as you would be still needing it after a year, save yourself from hassle
