I've received an email from IRCC with the subject 'Ready for Visa'. In general, it says I need to send photos and passport to the immigration office (London, UK) for my visa.

However, section 4B states:
B) If you are currently in Canada
You are not required to submit your passport and will be landed virtually. Please advise our office via webform within 5 days of receipt of this letter if you and/or any of your dependents are in Canada. Please include each person’s name/UCI and where they are currently staying/residing (in Canada or overseas).

I'm currently in Canada as a visitor and I've responded via the webform. However, the email says you need to submit documents withing 30 days and the webform doesn't confirm any kind of response time.

Does anyone have experience of what happens?

You're fine, you'll just need to wait. With the strike, it will be delayed. You can check other threads but unfortunately IRCC is not very consistent about timing for organising the virtual landing.

Had you already updated your address when you came to Canada?

our mp has emailed us yesterday:

I spoke to an agent about an hour ago. Good news, all verification steps on this file have passed and we are just waiting for final decision which should come very soon. Once the approval is done, a Ready for Visa letter will be sent out shortly after.

When can we expect to get the emails? im going crazy just waiting

Nobody can really give an exact prediction.
