Hi all,
My friend worked as a Graphic Designer (NOC B) for 1.5 years in home country. When she came to Canada, she made a career change to study 2-year diploma in culinary arts, and currently working full time as a cook (NOC B) for around 6 months.
Working full-time for 6 months as a cook in Canada doesn't make her eligible to apply under Express Entry, but if she claimed her 1.5 years of experience back home, she passed the eligibility test. However, her job backgrounds in her home country and now have changed.
Does anyone know if it matters to apply under Express Entry when her work experience in home country is different from her current full-time job right now in Canada?
Your advice are appreciated!
