Re-Medical examination for my spouse

Hi everyone,

I am a Canadian citizen living with my husband outside of Canada, sponsoring him. I checked my husband's profile in the monthly updates and it says we need to undergo a medical examination.

We had already submitted medical receipt in our application and on the CIC website it mentions medical file received. Now after almost 10-11 months they say to undergo a medical test again.

Do we also need to sent our old medical proof with new one as well? Will it be everything again?

Could someone please advise.

Hello the e-medical usually expires after 1 year.
If they've requested for it again, I do it again and submit new e- medicals

In general, how long does it take to get the PPR after submitting the re-medical?

It depends on each and every case. Some get the passport request with the new medical...

My husband got his re-medical done last week and within 2 days in the cic account it showed that he passed the results.

This week he got a call from NDVO for passport detail verification. I also checked the number online/called back and found the number to be corrct.

I have a couple of questions:

1) Can the phone be deemed valid?

2) Has anyone received such calls? Any experience?

Please advise.
