I was on a WHP (from Australia) and it expired June 7th, 2013. I left the country and wanted to come back as a visit since I reapplied for another WHP, however the border-crossing officer only gave me 1 month as a visitor (rather than the customary 3-6 months).
My WHP is most likely not going to be processed by July 6th (date i have to leave the country again), so my questions are---
Should I try to re-enter again after July 6th, and see if they will let me stay longer?
Or should I leave the country for a while until it comes through?
My preference is to stay in Canada as its been my home for the last 4 years and my partner is also here.
One final question, what are the implications on future PR applications or sponsorship applications if the officers deny my entry the second time I try to come back?... Will there be a black mark against my record?
