re entry to canada with criminal past

Hi all,
A quick question, I was wondering if it is at all possible to gain re entry to canada after you have been deporred for a crime..?
Reason for re entry is the death of a parent

You may want to post your thread in a more relevant forum. Anyways, if you have not been banned from entering Canada, then technically it should be possible for you to re-enter.
