Re-entry Into Canada - Common Law Inland

Hi,

My common law inland application was sent in November with an OWP.

I have received my AOR and been asked to submit my police certs.

I have also received an email stating that my OWP has been approved and is being sent in the mail.

Am I able to leave and re-enter Canada? I would like to visit a friend in America for a few days in March.

Any help is really appreciated! Thanks.

You can however re-entry isnt guarenteed. If they deny you, your application will be cancelled. Also make sure you have the visa to go to the states if you are from a country that requires one

This is why many people go for an Outland given although an inland has the benefit of an OWP if the applicant leaves Canada at any time whilst an inland application is processing IRCC can assume the application has been abandoned. So the risk is always there in the background although no way to predict whether in reality this actually happens on a regular basis.
