Hello All,
We seek your suggestions for a query which me and my husband are quite concerned. Please help..
Background: Out of the total 5 years of PR we returned to our native country (India) after staying in toronto for 10 months.
We returned in July 2013. Since then we are living and staying in India till date (July 2013 to Feb 2015).
Now my husband plans to go back to Canada (Toronto) in March 2015.
Our PR expires in 2017 (as written on card is April 2017). So we have approximately 2 years still with us to complete the days needed to renew the PR.
Question: Hence as we are going back to Canada, are there any chances that the POE staff will not allow us from entry into canada ? (We do not have any cases nor any charges on us.)
2. Will the officials be concerned because ofthe gap of 1 yr and 8 months to return to CA. ?
3. Do we need to keep any specific documents with us to justify our re-entry in Canada.
4. I am Primary applicant and my husband plans to go and complete the 3 years to apply for Citizenship. As he is not the primary applicant will they have any reservations to allow him (he is not the primary applicant) ?
5. Will they ask any specific questions which we should be prepared for?
These might sound basic and stupid questions but we want to ensure we are totally prepared when he reaches the POE again. This is as, he is quitting his job to pursue Canada. It should not be that they refrain him from entering Canada (because of this 1.8 years gap) and then we loose his job and even career in Canada.
Please reply as your opinions count a lot.
And a BIG Thank you for all the Knowledge, efforts and information on this forum.
Thanks and Best Regards,
MP
