Hi Guys,

I know this must have been answered before, but I couldn't find the right thread.

I need to visit US for 2-3 days to attend a busines conference. My status is as follows:
- Passport: India
- Status in Canada: Visa will expire 30th July 2011 (visit to US in August)
Hold a PGWP (Work Permit) till July 2014
- Have valid US B1/B2 visa.

My question is, do I have the valid documents required to re-enter Canada? I heard that foreign nationals in Canada can re-enter Canada from the US as long as they hold a valid Work Permit/Study Permit.

Please advice whether this is correct and also would be great if I could carry the appropriate Canadian Immigration Print Outs on this. So, if someone could direct me to the correct Immigration Canada links, I can take a print out of those and carry along with me.

All advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

1. As you have a valid PGWP as long as you are only going to the US or St. Pierre et Miquelon you can return to Canada as long as it within the validity of the Work Permit (July/2014) You can search for them at www.cic.gc.ca under publications. But is not usually a good idea to tell Immigration Officers at borders how to do their jobs, unless there is a problem.
