I have been in Canada since 2011 with visitor visa which I extend every year. My husband is a Canadian. we have been married since 2001 and we have two children. He is on social assistance so he can't sponser me to become an immigrant. I would like to get PR card eventually.
my question is if I leave Canada going back home for a visit then when I come back to Canada if there are more chances that I would be rejected as a visitor or not because of my history in Canada.
I would like to go back home for a visit but I don't want to take a risk not being able to ener to Canada.

There's always some risk you won't be allowed to re-enter Canada. Whether you're allowed back in or not is up to the CBSA officer you encounter at the border when you return.

thank you scylla. I was wondering how risky it is. I am thinking to apply PR under humanitarian and compassionate ground so I gues I have to wait for now.

Your husband can get a job and apply for your sponsorship, this is the only practical way.H&C immigration has a low pass rate and takes a long time to process, compared to family sponsorship which is mostly completed within 12 months.

I know that would be the best way but he has been too sick to work. he applied for disability but he was rejected. What if I apply for PR under H&C ground for now then when he gets a job eventually could I change to family sponsorship?

No - you can't switch an application from H&C to family sponsorship. You would need to withdraw the H&C application and submit a brand new application under family class.

what's the best way to get my status in Canada for me if I can't depend on my husband? I don't really have skills for work experience either.

If your husband cannot sponsor you and you don't meet the requirements for any of Canada's economic immigration programs, then it sounds like the H&C application is your only option. You'll need to be in Canada when you apply and will need to remain in Canada while the application is being processed. Processing for H&C seems to often take around 2 years.
