I am currently in Canada for a few more days, but am returning home to the US for a visit for roughly a month while I wait to hear back about the PGWP I applied for. Since my study permit expires July 31 I wanted to be out of the country by then even though I have a request to change my status already submitted (I also just wanted a last chance to visit family before I begin looking for work).
My plan was to re-enter Canada on my PGWP sometime in September if my PGWP gets approved in ~90 day processing time (I submitted at the end of May). I know with the study permit I was issued the actual paper when I entered the country but not sure how the PGWP and changing status works? I do have a permanent address in Canada (my boyfriend is a Canadian citizen and lives with me) so I do have an address to receive mail and someone to check the mail for me if that's an issue.
