Hello there,
I´ve read around in this forum a bit and really appreciated a lot of things you mentioned. Right now I am (or might be) facing some difficulties and am worrying about an upcoming trip to Canada.
About me: I´m a student of North American studies (focussing on Canada) and lived in Canada on a work&travel Visa about two years ago until last year.
On spring break this year I spent two weeks in February and March in Ontario to visit some friends and after I got back I was invited to spend the summer in Victoria where I used to live. I´ll stay there, visit friends and work on a scholarship application (for a German program from my German university) for studying at UBC or UVic next year.
Unfortunately, my tourist Visa expires end of August and I´ll leave Germany beginning of August and will stay until beginning of October. I was unsure if I should book as my Visa will run out in between (Germans have a 6 month tourist visa, I have been in Germany for the last few months and am planning on coming back for school again in October), so I sent an email to the Canadian Embassy in Germany and asked them about the procedure. They just told me to tell my story to the Immigration Officer. Alright, I said and booked the flight.
Still, I am quite unsure what to bring (student ID for my next semester, some kind of proof that I´ll get back like some other piece of paper from my school, etc.) or if it is actually really not such a big a deal. I saved up for the last few months and my friends helped me pay for my flight to make this happen so that I would back in Canada for a bit more than just a few days. This is quite important to me and I really want to be prepared. If you have any suggestions for me I would be more than happy for your help.
Thanks!
