Re-entering Canada on Implied Status

I'm leaving to the US for a couple of days. I should get my PGWP November 18th according to the IRCC website (114 days), and I come back the 17th. What should I come in as at the border? My student visa is expired but I am TRV-exempt (French national).

Please help! I've been trying to call the IRCC but can't get to an agent (I can't even get onto the wait time, they just hang up).

You will enter as a visitor.

Since you will have left the country and lost implied status, I do not believe you can continue working until you have your PGWP, if you've been relying on implied status to continue working.

Recently changed, OP could continue working upon return.
