Re-entering Canada after overstay

Hello all ,
My wife was in Canada on a VWP for 1 year before we were married . She applied for an extension and received a 1 month extension ,thinking she would get a 3 month extension. She received the 1 month extension ,2 weeks into that extension . She then booked the most affordable flight out of the country which was 1 week after the extension expired .
We have been living together in Sweden now and are planning to go visit Canada .

My question is will she be denied entry if they see that she overstayed for 7 days ?

Thank you !

I am not an expert, but when you complete the application you may want to include a cover letter explaining exactly what happened and include whatever documentation you have to prove your case (date you got news of extension and date you purchased the ticket). I don't know if the VO will consider the cost of airfare more important than obeying visa requirements, but they will have the dates in their records so the best you can do is be upfront and honest about your actions and intention to obey in the future. Good luck.

Hey , thanks for responding .
She's from Sweden which is visa exempt . She doesn't need to apply for anything to come to the country besides showing tying connections if they ask to see them . I'm just worried that she won't be let in because she previously overstayed by 1 week.

Immigration Canada discriminates!

I know the case of a person who was given one year extension only because that person has european passport!
