Re-enter Canada

I am Italian and I am currently working in Canada with a 120-day exemption permit. Will I be able to leave Canada to visit US and re-enter? At the border they provided me a Visitor record.

If you have a valid ETA then yes. A visitor record is only good if you are remaining in Canada.
