I am on closed work permit and lost my job. If I leave the country, can I come back on the same work permit?

You need a valid TRV to return to Canada.

No, unemployment benefits will not continue once your status is visitor.

How do you qualify for EI on a closed WP? Typically you don’t because you are unable to find work and start right away.
