Hi All,

I am a Canadian living in Thailand but here on an Irish passport. I went to the Canadian Embassy today to get an Affidavit to say I am single and able to marry here in Thailand. However they told me they could not sign the papers because I am in Thailand on an Irish passport so my Thai Visa is in the Irish passport. Will it be a problem sponsoring my husband if our marriage certificate will say I am an Irish citizen? If you can help me I would apperciate it.

No, as long as you can prove you are a Canadian citizen.

Patrice if u have the canadian citizenship or is a canadian PR holder then you can sponsor him for sure .
