I had a TRV last 2010...so i visited my then fiance in Canada and stayed there for a vacation for 3 months (Mov. 2010 to Feb.2011) . When i came home i had an LMO on hand and when i applied for work permit in my country of origin I was denied of a work permit. After a year of that i want to go to Canada again to visit my husband (my then fiance), My question is, will I still be given a TRV if i applied for one now? Will my denial for work permit before have a bearing on my application for TRV? Thanks.

Btw, my husband is not a resident or a citizen. he is still under work permit and is working on his PR

Sorry about the refusal. What were the reasons for refusal and what did you demonstrate as your ties to home country? You will be asked if you have ever been denied a visa in the next TRV application. Bearing in mind the reasons for refusal of the work permit, how has your situation changed to address these issues?

hi Pippin.. thank you for the reply. Their reason for refusal is that they are not satisfied that I have answered all questions truthfully, as required by subsection 16(1) of the Act. Specifically, they are are not satisfied that my explanation about non-declaration of previous job marketing assistant for a certain company is truthful. Plus they are not satisfied with my credibility and intent to remain in Canada as a temporary resident.

My concern now is if I can still apply or get a TRV, just to visit my husband who is working there.
