Here's my little but unfortunate story. (I'm surprised even experts couldn't sniff a rejection)
I applied for a student visa after getting college confirmation letter and for March'12 paying full 1 yr PG (Global business) fee to Conestoga, Canada. However, I got a rejection within a week of my application stating that 'you have not submitted the requested documentation, namely : IELTS .....' No other reason has been marked out on their rejection document. The fact is that I applied with a TOEFL score (iBT 95) and there seemed NOT to be slightest of a hint that Canada do not accept TOEFL scores. (Experts were surprised; forget about me). I chose the right category however; I applied under General as advised.
Anyway, I'm up with a 7.5 on IELTS with nothing less than 7.0 and going to re-apply for May'12.
Some questions here;
1) Does Canada DO NOT really accept TOEFL scores?
2) Are applications under GENERAL category more prone to rejections?
3) Can I apply under SPP category knowing that I earlier had a rejection?
4) How much time is required to rest between two visa applications? Can I re-apply as soon as I furnish what VO has wanted?
5) Is their any possibility of VO marking another reason for rejection this time around which were not there earlier? (I'm growing skeptical of their intentions now!)
Regards
