Hey everybody,
In November 2011, I applied for the PhD stream in its very beginning days and at that time I tought that only providing my RA/TA work experience would suffice for meeting the requirements. Hence in my application forms, I did not mention my previous work experiences and just mentioned unemployed in those periods which I had been working. However, they did not give me the adaptivity points and hence rejected my application by not reaching the minimum points of 67. Now I am going to reapply and in order to do that, I need to provide my previous work experience. Does any one think that they will compare my new application forms with the old one and would say that at the previous one you had mentioned unemployed and how come now you say that you have been employed?
Your helps would be a great asset.

Hi BIBOBIBO ,

If you apply right now, your foreign education credentials will need to be assessed for their Canadian equivalency. Also, adaptability points now will be awarded for any period of two years study at secondary or post-secondary level, so there is no longer a need to complete the program. I'd say, keep using RA/TA experience that you used to apply before (I'm assuming Ottawa accepted these work experience?), then re-apply.

Visit the PhD thread forum for more information. This topic has been discussed in details.

So you mean that if I apply right now, they will give me the missing five points of adaptability and I dont need to provide any work experience other than RA/TA to reach 67?
Also would you please tell me how can I get some info about "foreign education credentials will need to be assessed for their Canadian equivalency"? What does that mean and what should I do about that?
