I have recently applied for a visitor visa for myself (32 years old) and my two children (8 and 6 years old) to go visit my sister in Canada. She is having a baby and we are excited to share this moment with her. This would have been the first time we go visit. We also want to experience the winter for the first time in our life- I heard it is very cold though. My kids are very excited to have a Canadian Christmas, learn to skate etc. My husband will stay back home, and have given a letter to show that he agrees that I take the kids. I have a full-time job in my home country and showed a letter stating my vacation duration.
We are very disappointed that my visa has been refused. I think it is because they found lack of ties and insufficient funds (maybe); the reasons are not clear to me.
Now I want to re-apply. My questions are:
- In the re-application, should I mention that I have already applied before? (I am right now re-applying after 1 week) Or should I just submit the application as a completely new one?
- How much money should I show for 3 people, (we are going for 50 days). In the first application, my sister and her husband (both Canadian Citizens with jobs) have given a letter of invitation to say that they are hosting us and will provide lodging and meals. They have given their CRA assessment too. I have shown $5000 (CAD)
Any advice will help. We really want to make this happen. It has been for years that we wanted to go visit Canada, and it is now for us the best time.
thank u
