re-apply without withdrawing old FSW application, is is acceptable?

i have an existing application with an Application Received status. According to my latest GCMS report, my eligibility determinatin is still pending...I am planning to re-apply once the new ministerial instructions come out, 'coz I know this would be a looong delay. However, I have some problems with the IELTS. I know that the original IELTS report should be included in the application...Requesting a new IELTS report addressed to me is not anymore possible..The British Council will directly send the IELTS to the institution that needs your score. My IELTS is still less than a year old so I don't need to take them again..Will CIO accept IELTS sent directly to them from British Council,since I can't include it anymore in my application.
Anyone, please advice..

I applied in 2008 January. I want to reapply soon under the new rule of Social worker category......... Is it mandatory to withdraw my old application? Or can I keep two files now.....and withdraw the first one at a later time after I get result of the new one?

Can anyone tell me for sure?

Hi Anondo,

Yes , you can do it. Pls dont talk to any consultant or lawyers , they would say you cant and would try to make money from you . I am breaking my head over it for almost a year. I originally applied in 2004 and nothing happened till last year , so I wanted to apply with the new laws as my occupation was is in the NOC list. After so much consultation with various lawyers and consultants who said that I have to withdraw the old application first in order to apply a new one, finally met a friend who was a consultant too and he said I could apply as they are both applications are covered under different laws.

Then I did and my new application is in "In Process" now . I Withdrew my old application couple of months ago and it done in a month. You dont have to withdraw your previous application until the medicals stage but I did because some time when you run the old application along with a new one , it might take more processing time and they might also have a look at your old application too.

Dont wanted to waste unnecessary time so thats what i did and thats up to you .

My ecas now shows two applications. one is the old one saying in process........the new one says that your applicaiton has been revewed and send for processing to singapore....

Hi Anondo,

Great Job, The processing time is entirely on case to case basis, no one can predict it , but my guess is that Singapore is not the fastest nor its the slowest, so if everything goes well and fast 10 - 12 months is most likely the time frame we are looking at .

Yes , your fee would be refunded if the application is withdrawn before it went into process

My advise only when your VO ask you to do or once you got VISA in hand.

I have still not withdraw old application..expecting my VISA in 2/3 days.

You can withdraw anytime you want,I did after my PER, but Mayank is right you can wait until its certainly confirmed that you will get the visa, my advise it keep it until the Medical request . cheers

Thanks for the response but I think I did not phrase my question properly :; I would like to know what your e-Cas status was BEFORE you withdrew your old application and not what it became after the withdrawal.
