Re-apply for IEC or apply for Working Holiday when my IEC expires? (Australian)

So many conflicting things I'm reading about all of this for Australian's. Can someone set it straight for me, PLEASE?!

Nov 2017 my IEC expires. I wish to do SOMETHING to allow me to stay for another 2 years which I seem to read is do-able as the Canadian gov't website states "Most people can come to Canada to work for a maximum of four years". Now should I:

1. Re-apply for a second IEC as I'll still be under 30, or;
2. Apply for a Working Holiday Permit which seems to be an entirely separate thing

Also please advise as to whether I can do this from inside Canada or if I'll have to leave to re-apply.

Thanks so much guys! I'm soooo confused and I really really want to keep playing in Canada for as long as I legally can!

Working Holiday Visa and IEC are the same thing.

If you have already participated in the program once for 24 months, then you only qualify for a second participation of 12 months under the Co-Op Program see:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/experience/bilat.asp

If you want to stay beyond the additional year on a work permit or do not qualify under the co-op program, then you would need to obtain a closed work permit through first getting a full time job offer and approved LMIA from an employer in Canada.

oh, I see! The wording just got me a little confused.

I forgot to mention that I'm doing my IEC currently through a recognized organisation (SWAP) and the gov't website says "Participation in International Experience Canada (IEC) with a recognized organization does not count towards the frequency of participation allowed by the specific country agreements.". Now does THIS mean I can apply for another IEC independent of SWAP?

Also are you able to tell me if I'm able to apply for the IEC again with my British passport or is that not allowed? I've never lived in the UK but I happen to have dual citizenship. Would I need to get a police cert from the UK even though I've only ever lived in Australia, New Zealand and Canada? If I can do it this way, would I have to leave Canada to do it all? or just cross the border to activate my UK ICE?

Thank you soooo much for your help!!
