RCMP fingerprints....a question please

Hello.
I have been asked to submit RCMP certificate for the fingerprints (criminal record check). I did not go to local police , I went to another office that it specialized in doing fingerprints and they took my fingerprints there. They told me the results go immediately to Buffalo (electronically) , did I do the right thing? How long does it usually take for fingerprints results and the record to reach Buffalo? Has anyone done this kind of RCMP certificate before?

Yes, assuming you went to the Corp of Commissionaires and had digital prints done, the results will be received in less than a month (usually a week).
