I had a criminal charge then it was dropped in court. It would take 1 year to expunge the fingerprint from database and my criminal lawyer said it won't affect my citizenship. So I applied for citizenship.
Anyway, I sent my fingerprint to Rcmp for background/criminal check for citizenship application. Rcmp is taking a long time now- 15 business days since they received my fingerprint. I know 10-15 days is the usual time RCMP gets back to you. It should be completed by now. Is there any reason why it is taking this long? Would it take more than time than the usual?
I email emailed rcmp ccrtis with the same query. They replied:

Further to your request for a civil criminal record verification for: Canadian Citizenship.
Please be advised that, according to our records, the application in question was received in our system on: 2023-00-00.
We are unable to provide specific dates as to when the verification will be completed. Once we complete our search, the results will be mailed to the address indicated in your electronic submission.
