RCMP check

I am applying inland next month for spousal sponsorship PR, including criminal rehabilitation.

I believe i will need RCMP check too, as well as an Irish police cert as i am in Canada since Sept.

I told my childrens school that i will volunteer as i have nothing else to do.

Will the background check that i will be doing for the school suffice for my application?

1. You require a criminal records check from every country where you have resided for 6 months or more since turning 18 EXCEPT CANADA.
2. CIC will do it's own name check, and then if there is a close hit on CPIC only then will they request a fingerprint check.
3. Your school background is not sufficient.

thanks, what i meant is that the school where i am going to volunteer are doing one, as part of child protection practices

I was wondering would i need a check for Canada as i have been here more than 6 months, I was going to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and get a duplicate copy for the PR app
