Hi there, I am completing my PR application; I am with RBC.

The stumbling point that I am not 100% sure what to do (and so are the staff at my local RBC) is this section.

It says basically:

Express Entry - Permanent Residents
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:

  • list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,
  • list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
  • be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).
Can anyone provide some guidance or a template as to what to submit? My bank gave me a sort of signed/stamped letter today with bank accounts (dates opened, current balance, credit statement, that I am in good standing and no debts), but it has no info of the last six months.

What is sufficient for this the balance of each account over the past six months part? Can I get the bank to just print a letter stating the final balance of my chequing/saving account at the end of each of the six months? Or do I need to supply a big long document of ALL my transactions?

Or would someone have a good template to follow? Thank you.

Sorry, they gave you the letter how exactly? Just a letter stating the final balance of my chequing/saving account at the end of each of the six months?
