Hi everyone...Im here in Canada and its the hardest thing to get a job. I applied to a lot of places..did telephone interview...it goes well up to the point where you have to meet face to face with employers...you dont normally get the job. I feel so frustrated searching so this is just a warning to anyone who is thinking of coming here...the process is lengthy and frustrating. You have to be patient. Let me know if anyone experiencing the same thing.

So the title of your thread implies racial profiling exists but in your post other than saying you completed a telephone interview but after the face to face you did not succeed, no other comments on the thread title how this conclusion reached and specifically Saskatchewan.

Plenty of people interview well on the telephone but when comes to the face to face they do not come across quite as confident for whatever reason so they do not get the job over someone else.

Nobody ever says immigration is easy and too many people , not implying yourself, think that they can just move from a country where they previously had a secure well paid job and just slot into the same life on arrival. It will take time with a lot of disappointments and too easy to speculate the reasons for the latter as opposed to just moving on to the next application. Just have to believe you will succeed, it will be worth it and ultimately if Saskatchewan is not for you try another province given once a PR the country is yours to live and work wherever you want.

I have been to many interviews in my career where I was never called back, it could be because of several reasons
1. I do not meet the required skill set they were looking for
2. The hiring manager felt that I would not integrate with the culture
3. They got a better candidate
4. My pay expectations were higher
5. I did not make a good impression
6. They did not want the role anymore due to business reasons

At the same time I was offered a job after many interviews as well.

We cannot always just blame race for not getting a job unless they were explicit. Moreover one hiring manager could have said something that was racially discriminating, but you cannot blame the entire province for it.

The fact that you got phone and face-to-face interviews means it was unlikely a case of racial profiling. In most cases they will know from your resume what race you are. Unless you have an anglo-saxon name, hidden your profile pic from your LinkedIN profile, and actually immigrated from a Western country (USA, Western Europe) but are not Caucasian.
