I am the spouse of the principal applicant. We did our medicals about 10 days ago and the doctor said I needed an echocardiogram because of a murmur in my heart. I mentioned to him that I had one done a while ago and the cardiologist said everything looked fine soo then asked me to just get a copy of those results instead of a new one. My concern is that the test I did was over 1 year ago so I wonder if the doctor reviewing my medical in Ottawa will ask me for an updated echo. That might delay the whole process. Is that a policy regarding the validity of such tests?

Dear it is better to follow the DMP advice and do the tests. First of all, it is highly probable that CHC will accept the report on observation of their recognized centers only that is why they have nominated names to conduct test otherwise they would have left it open. Secondly your test reports are over year that automatically disqualifies. Query from CHC may also un-necessarily raise doubts and consequently delays.

CHC accepts minor medical issues that do not need continuous support and burden the canadian economy. If your problem does not need regular check ups and medications, u will not inshallah encounter any problem from CHC.

Senior pls correct if am wrong.

@Malu

Yousuf is right. Show your previous ECG report to your DMP & let him decide. If he opines another one - take that again and let your DMP send in his report accordingly.

BTW, heart murmur case is common, occurs in many ppl, it's not a cause of worry. U'll be just fine with your Meds & eventually received the PPR. Relax!

Thank you Yousuf and Quorax for your reply. I showed my old ECG to my DMP and he said that it was up to me if I wanted to get a new one done or not. He also said that if the doctor reviewing my medical in Ottawa isn't satisfied with the old report he will request a new one. I decided to go ahead and do a new ECG. I figured that the physical is only valid for 1 year so all other medical tests should be the same.
