Quick visitor visa re-entry query

Hi everyone,

I shall keep this really brief because it's a fairly simple question i think..

I got married in 2009 in canada on an 18 month visitor visa.. my visa expired and im currently on an extension that runs out in jan 2011. I applied for an extension because we're going through the immigration process and should be complete hopefully sometime next summer. We are expecting our fisrt baby in February and i shall have to apply for a third extension to hopefully cover that and the immigration period.

Anyhow i had wanted to visit england for a few weeks before christmas, I am allowed to leave and re-enter canada on a visitor visa arent i?

Depends if it's a single or multiple entry visa.

Well.. i was told by my immigration lawyer that it wouldnt be a problem as long as i took my visa with me.. I'm an English citizen.. but just noticed at the bottom of my temoprary visitor visa that it says that it does not authorize re-entry.. is there any way i can check this or call someone to ask?

I was hoping to visit my family in england before the baby was born and before my immigration comes through.. whether it does or not is another matter.. i'm being sponsored by my wife

And we were planning on putting in another visa extension request sometime within the next few days
